The 80’s produced some great British bands – one rather underrated example is ‘The Psychedelic Furs’. The post-punk, new wave ‘Furs’ are now getting a second wave of exposure, thanks to the hit series ‘Stranger Things’ (which features their song ‘Ghost in You’) and the film ‘Call Me By Your Name’ which uses the track ‘Love My Way’.

Leading the listener onto the ‘dance floor’ in its opening line, ‘Love My Way’ instantly conjures a mood of youthful, counter-culture energy, brilliantly exploited in the film.

Released on the band’s aptly titled ‘Forever, Now’ album, it’s a quintessentially 80’s track that nevertheless retains its freshness and surprise. Strange, rebellious – it’s a song that really shouldn’t work but does!
