On the island of Madeira lies the enchanted ‘cloud’ forest of ‘Fanal’. At certain, unpredictable moments, the fog rises up from the sea, shrouding the trees. Suddenly, you have stepped into a fairytale!
Throughout the music of Kate Bush, fog often appears, making the song as mysterious as a walk in Fanal. Let us shine a torch on two of them….The first is called ‘The Morning Fog’, and is taken from her song cycle ‘The Ninth Wave’: a short, beautiful gem of a song:
